Remove your data from Hunter

Learn how to use Hunter's Claim feature to permanently remove your professional email data from Hunter's database.

The Claim feature

The Claim feature lets you permanently remove the professional email data Hunter has collected about you from the public web.

Once the email has been claimed, it can't be added or shown in the database now or in the future.

We immediately process the deletion of all data associated with it, including its original source. As part of this process, the reference to where the email originated was also removed, so we no longer have access to that information.

How can I remove my data from being visible in Hunter?

Emails may appear in Hunter because they're collected from publicly available sources, such as websites and directories, or inferred based on common email patterns used by companies. More on our data here.

💡 We can only claim professional emails: Webmail addresses, such as @gmail.com, aren't listed in our service.

To claim your data:

  1. Go to the Claim page and enter your professional email

  2. Check your inbox. We send a verification email to confirm you own the address. Click "Claim this email address" to open the claiming page.

  3. Review the data we've collected for your professional email and its sources.

  4. Click "Delete my information" on the Claim page to remove your data from our database immediately.

If your email isn't currently listed in Hunter, claiming it still works: it prevents us from collecting it in the future, in case it should become publicly available on the web. The same applies to inferred emails — claiming one prevents its future inclusion, even though it wasn't directly discovered.
