Use an alias as the sender in Sequences
You can send emails from an alias in Email Sequences if your account is connected through Gmail or Google Workspace.
After you connect your email account, you can choose one of your available Gmail aliases as the sender address for your sequences.
Which email providers support alias sending
Alias sending is only available for certain providers.
Supported providers ✅
You can send from an alias when your email account is connected through:
Gmail
Google Workspace
Unsupported providers ❌
Alias sending is not available for:
Outlook / Microsoft 365
SMTP/IMAP connections
How to choose an alias for sending
Step 1: Open the Email accounts center
Go to the Email accounts center.
Find the connected account you want to use.
Click the account, or click View, to open its settings.
Step 2: Select the alias
In the side window:
In the side panel, find the Send emails from field.
Click the dropdown menu.
Select the alias you want to use as the sender address for your sequences.
What to expect when using an alias
When you send sequences from an alias:
The selected alias becomes the sender address for that connected account
One connected email account can use only one alias at a time
The alias must already be configured in Gmail as a valid sender address
If the alias is not set up correctly in Gmail, it will not appear in Hunter.
Important limitations
There are a few important limitations when sending from an alias:
Reply tracking is not supported
Reply rate will always display 0%
Replies will not appear in Hunter’s inbox
This is expected behavior when sending sequences from an alias.
Troubleshooting
My alias does not appear in Hunter
Check that:
Your email account is connected through Gmail or Google Workspace
The alias is configured in Gmail as a sender address
The alias is not only set up as a forwarding address
If the alias is only configured for forwarding, Hunter will not show it as a sending option.
