Hunter integrates with Perplexity through a connector, letting you search for email addresses, find leads, and run domain searches using natural language, without leaving your Perplexity thread.
This article walks you through connecting Hunter to Perplexity and confirming it works.
💡 Connectors are available on Perplexity's paid plans (Pro and above). If you are on the free plan, you will not see the Connectors option and will need to upgrade before you can add Hunter.
Add Hunter from the connector directory
This is the easiest way to connect Hunter, and it works in both the Perplexity web app and the desktop app.
In Perplexity, open Connectors. You will find it in the left sidebar under Customize, or go straight to perplexity.ai/computer/connectors.
In the "Search all connectors" box, type Hunter.
Open the Hunter connector and click "+ Add connector".
A Hunter window opens asking "Allow Perplexity to connect to your Hunter account?". Log in if you are prompted, review the permissions, and click "Agree".
You are returned to the Connectors page and the Hunter card now shows a checkmark. Hunter is connected.
👉 Prefer to add it manually? Instead of the directory, you can choose "Add custom connector" and enter Hunter's remote MCP server URL, https://mcp.hunter.io/mcp.
How to confirm the connection is working
Start a new thread, type @hunter in the prompt to bring in the connector, then ask:
"Use Hunter to find the email pattern for stripe.com."
If Hunter returns results, you are all set.
Troubleshooting
If Hunter is not responding in Perplexity after connecting, check the following:
Confirm you are on a paid Perplexity plan. Connectors are not available on the free plan.
Start a new thread after connecting, and type @hunter so the connector is included in your question.
If it connected to the wrong account, reopen the Hunter authorization screen, use the "Log out" link to switch accounts, then click "Agree" again.
Double-check that your Hunter account is active in your Hunter dashboard.
