If a duplicate lead is identified, an error message will appear preventing you from creating a new lead with the same email address:

This also means that it is not possible to have the same lead, meaning, a lead that contains the same email address, in multiple lists.

Having a single email lead per team instead of multiple duplicates aims to simplify collaboration and eliminate confusion when using Hunter Leads and Campaigns.
