Why isn’t my campaign sending emails?
Why isn’t my campaign sending emails?

Here’s why your campaign isn’t sending emails and how to resolve it.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Here's a list of the most common reasons why your campaign is not sending:

Reason 1: The campaign is paused or completed

• If a campaign is paused, it won’t resume sending emails automatically (this may be due to a manual pause you made). To restart email sending, you’ll need to activate it again.

• If a campaign is completed, all emails have already been sent. It becomes an evergreen campaign, meaning that if you add new recipients, it will automatically start sending emails to them.

Reason 2: Not within the sending window

📌 Why it happens: The campaign is currently outside the designated sending window.

ℹ️ Associated campaign status: On hold - Outside of sending window

Fix: You can adjust the sending window in the campaign Settings tab.

💡 Keep in mind that if other campaigns are currently sending from the same email account, they will take priority over your latest campaign once the sending window is adjusted.

Reason 3: Email account has reached the daily sending limit

📌 Why it happens: The email account used to send emails has hit the daily sending limit.

ℹ️ Associated campaign status: On hold - Waiting for sending limit reset

Fix: Go to Email Accounts Settings and edit the daily sending limit (recommended: 15 emails p/day for new connected accounts). If you choose not to increase the sending limit, you can wait for it to reset, and emails will be sent automatically.

🕒 The daily sending limit resets at midnight (00:00 AM) based on the account’s time zone.

Reason 4: The email campaign is preparing

📌 Why it happens: A new email campaign typically takes a few minutes to schedule all emails. During this time, no emails will be sent, and the campaign will remain in a preparing status.

ℹ️ Associated campaign status: Preparing

Fix: No action is required, the campaign will automatically activate once all emails are prepared.

Reason 5: Sending accounts error

📌 Why it happens: One or more sending accounts are disconnected.

ℹ️ Associated campaign status: Error - One or more email accounts have been disconnected

Fix:

• Go to the Email Accounts settings and use the Reconnect link to reconnect the disconnected email account

• Follow the account reconnection steps to resolve any issues.

• Once the affected account(s) are reconnected, the campaign status will update automatically.

Reason 6: No email account(s) associated with the campaign

📌 Why it happens: A sender email account hasn't been set for the email campaign

ℹ️ Associated campaign status: Error - This campaign has no email accounts

Fix:

  • Click on the email campaign and choose one or multiple existing email accounts or connect new ones in the From section.

  • Once the email account(s) are selected, the email campaign will automatically resume unless it was manually paused.

Reason 7: Other campaigns take priority over the new campaign

📌 Why it happens: Other campaigns sent from the same email account(s) were created before the current campaign and have priority over the new campaign

ℹ️ Associated campaign status: On hold - Waiting for other campaigns

Fix: To prioritize a campaign, pause other active ones using the same email accounts. Once paused, the new campaign will start sending emails within a few minutes if it’s within the sending window and no other factors prevent it.

Reason 8: Follow-ups aren't scheduled to be sent now

📌 Why it happens: It's not yet time to send follow-up emails.

ℹ️ Associated campaign status: On hold - Waiting for follow-ups

Fix: No action is required, the campaign will automatically activate once it's time to send follow-up emails.

⏳Follow-up emails are sent based on the delay (in days) you set in the Content tab.

For example, if the first email was sent on June 26 at 3:45 PM and you scheduled a follow-up for 2 days later, the next email will be sent on June 28 at 3:45 PM, provided it falls within your sending window.

Even if your sending window starts earlier (e.g., 9 AM), follow-ups will always be sent exactly after the set number of full days from the previous email.
