Hunter's free SPF Record Generator and DMARC Record Generator build a ready-to-publish DNS TXT record for your domain, so you don't have to write one by hand. Use them when you're setting up authentication for a sending domain, or fixing a flagged SPF or DMARC issue.
What the generators do
SPF Record Generator — lists the services authorized to send email for your domain and builds a single valid SPF TXT record, without exceeding the 10-lookup limit.
DMARC Record Generator — builds a valid DMARC TXT record with the policy and reporting address you choose.
Both tools run in the browser and don't require a Hunter account.
Generate your SPF record
Go to the SPF Record Generator.
Enter your domain and the services that send email on its behalf.
Copy the generated TXT record.
Generate your DMARC record
Go to the DMARC Record Generator.
Choose a policy ("None", "Quarantine", or "Reject") and a reporting address.
Copy the generated TXT record.
👉 If you're setting up DMARC for the first time, start with policy "None" to monitor traffic before enforcing a stricter policy.
Publish and verify your records
Once you have both records, add them to your domain's DNS and confirm they're live:
Add SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records for a custom SMTP/IMAP sending domain — where to publish each record type in DNS.
Verify SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records (and fix common DNS mistakes) — confirm the records are published correctly.
