Domain Search pulls company information, including the company name, logo, and other details, from publicly available sources across the web.
Occasionally, the domain you searched and the company details shown (including the logo) may not match, or other details may look inaccurate.
Here's why that happens and what you can do about it.
Why this happens
Hunter indexes publicly available information to build company and domain profiles.
Because this data comes from many different public sources, a domain's company details (like its logo) can occasionally be linked from a different, related public record than the email data shown for that domain. Accuracy varies by domain and can't be guaranteed for every result.
đĄ If a result looks wrong, it can't be manually corrected or rebuilt on demand. Instead, reporting it helps our data team review the case.
What to do if you spot incorrect data
Note the affected domain you searched.
Note what looks wrong: a mismatched logo, incorrect company name, or contacts that don't belong to that company.
Contact Support with the domain and examples, via chat or by emailing contact@hunter.io
Support will investigate and escalate relevant cases to the data team for review.
Data corrections will be implemented where appropriate following a review.
To sum things up
Company data in Domain Search comes from public sources, and accuracy can vary by domain.
Mismatched logos or details can't be corrected on the spot.
Reporting the domain and examples to Support helps our data team review and improve coverage.
