How does Hunter find the email addresses returned in the Domain Search?

Discover how Hunter collects, updates, and verifies emails from public web sources to keep your data accurate and reliable.

Updated this week

Hunter searches the web to collect email addresses, using only publicly available information.

  • We crawl over 700,000 pages every day to find new email addresses, update existing ones, and remove outdated data.

  • If you search for a website, Hunter shows all the emails we’ve found linked to that domain. If none are found on the main domain, we’ll also check related domains.

How email results are shown

When you search for emails in Hunter's Domain Search, you’ll see:

  • The sources where each email was found.

  • The review date of those sources, so you know when they were last checked.

You can expand the list of sources by clicking the dropdown below each email found.

Continuous updates

Hunter’s database is always evolving:

  • New emails are added as soon as our crawlers detect them.

  • Removed or outdated emails are deleted or updated automatically.

This ensures you’re always working with the most current data available.
