How do credits work in Hunter?

Understand how credits are used across all Hunter tools

Updated this week

Hunter uses a single, unified credit system across all tools for users on a All-in-one outreach platform plans.

The unified credit system streamlines credit management, enabling flexible allocation between searches and verifications.

Each action — whether you’re finding or verifying emails — uses a fixed number of credits based on the tool you’re using. There’s no need to manage separate Search and Verification credits.

Credits can be used across:

If you run out, you can purchase extra credit packs or upgrade to a bigger plan from your Subscription section.

ℹ️ Data Platform plans use a separate credit system.
These API-focused plans provide Search credits and Verification credits, purchased independently. See: Data Platform Plans.

Good to know:

  • No credits are used if Hunter can’t find or verify an email.

  • 🔁 Duplicate requests (Email Finder, Verifier, Domain Search) made in the same billing period (monthly) or calendar month (yearly) won’t consume credits again.

↪ This doesn’t apply to bulk uploads — those will always use credits.

  • 📥 Once an email is revealed in Domain Search, it’s saved to your account. You can access it again without using credits.

  • ➕ Extra credit packs can be purchased at any time and are valid for 12 months.
