What happens if I reach my yearly credit quota?

If you're on a All in one platform yearly plan (Starter Yearly, Growth Yearly, or Scale Yearly) and reach your yearly credit limit, you can continue using Hunter by purchasing Credit Packs.

With the introduction of the Unified Credits System, Credit Packs have replaced the previous "Credits over quota" model. These packs allow you to keep using Hunter seamlessly once you reach your monthly or yearly credit limit.

These packs give you additional Credits and can be purchased manually, or you can enable auto-purchase directly from the Subscription section of your account to top up automatically when you run low.

Purchase a Credit Pack

To purchase a Credits pack, simply head to the Subscription section and select the option Buy additional credits.

  1. Choose the number of credits you want to purchase

  2. Click "Buy credits"

  3. Enter your payment details and confirm your purchase at checkout


How credit packs work

  • Available on Starter, Growth, Scale plans

  • Credits remain valid for 3 months after purchase

  • Credits are portable – they stay valid even if you downgrade or cancel your subscription

  • Free plans are not eligible to purchase credit packs

  • Data Platform plans and Enterprise plans are not eligible to purchase credit packs (see Running out of credits on a Data Platform plan)


Auto-purchase option

To avoid interruptions when you run out of credits, you can enable auto-purchase in your Subscription settings. Once enabled, Hunter will automatically charge for additional Credit Packs: up to a monthly spending limit you define.

You're in control:

  • Toggle auto-purchase on or off anytime

  • Set a monthly limit to control how much can be spent on extra credits

  • Click Save to confirm your preferences

If your limit is reached, no additional packs will be purchased unless you update the cap.

👉 Manual purchase of Credit Packs requires account owner access.

⚠️ Auto-purchase is only available on All-in-one outreach plans. It is not supported on Data Platform plans.


Upgrade your plan

You also have the option to upgrade your Yearly plan if you anticipate needing more credits in the future.

You can upgrade your Yearly plan anytime from the Subscription settings in your account and switch to a higher tier with more yearly Credits.

👉 When you upgrade your Yearly plan, the billing cycle resets and your new credit quota will apply immediately for the next 12 months.

Any unused credits from your previous plan will be rolled over into an extra pack of credits available for 12 months (yearly plan)


What happens if I'm on a Data Platform plan?

⚠️ Important: Credit Packs and auto-purchase are not available on Data Platform plans.

To get more credits, you'll need to purchase a new Data Platform plan at any time: your unused credits will roll over.

If you're on a Data Platform plan and reach your credit limit, here's how it works:

  • You'll receive a notification email when your usage reaches 80% of your plan's credit limit, so you can plan your next purchase before running out.

  • To top up, head to the Subscription section and click on "change my plan" to purchase a new Data Platform plan:

  • Any unused credits from your current plan will be rolled over into an extra pack, valid for the full duration of your new plan (12 months).

  • You can also switch to a standard yearly plan by selecting the All-in-one outreach platform tab.
