Credit packs are add-on bundles of credits you can buy when you've used up your monthly or yearly plan quota. They keep you running on Hunter without having to upgrade or wait for your next renewal.
✅ Available on: Starter, Growth, and Scale (All-in-one Outreach plans)
❌ Not available on: Free plan, Data Platform plans, Enterprise plans

How much do credit packs cost?
Credit packs start at 100 credits — the minimum purchase on any plan. The price per credit depends on your plan and decreases as you buy more. A few examples:

💡 The higher your plan and the larger the pack, the better the value per credit.
How to buy a credit pack
You can buy credit packs from your Billing & subscription page in two places — both lead to the same checkout.
From the Overview tab:
Go to Account → Billing & subscription
On the Credits usage card, click Buy more credits
From the Details tab:
Go to Account → Billing & subscription → Details tab
Scroll to the Credit packs section
Click Buy more credits
Then:
Choose the number of credit packs you want
Click Buy credits
Confirm your payment details at checkout
Credits land on your account immediately.
Only the team owner can buy credit packs.
Credit pack expiry
Credit packs are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase.
They're also portable: they stay valid for the full 3 months even if you downgrade or cancel your subscription during that time.
Auto-purchase: top up automatically
If you'd rather not run out unexpectedly, enable auto-purchase and Hunter will buy a new credit pack for you automatically when your balance reaches 0.
Go to the Details tab of your Billing & subscription page
Scroll to the Credit packs section, find the Auto-purchase row
Click Enable
Set a monthly spending cap so you stay in control
Click Save
You can toggle auto-purchase on or off at any time, and adjust your spending cap whenever you want. If you hit your monthly cap, auto-purchase pauses until the next month or until you raise the cap.
Auto-purchase is only available on All-in-one Outreach plans. It's not supported on Data Platform plans.
Reached your yearly credit limit?
If you're on a yearly plan (Starter Yearly, Growth Yearly, or Scale Yearly) and you've used up all your yearly credits, you have two options:
Buy credit packs: same flow as above. Credits are valid for 3 months from purchase.
Upgrade your yearly plan: from your Billing & subscription page, click Change plan to move to a higher tier. Your new credit allowance applies immediately for the next 12 months, and any unused credits from your previous plan roll over into a 12-month extra pack.
With the introduction of the Unified Credits System, credit packs have replaced the older "Credits over quota" model. Credits are now shared across Email Finder, Email Verifier, Domain Search, and other Hunter tools.
Frequently asked questions
Do credit packs stack with my plan credits?
Yes. Hunter uses your plan credits first, then your credit packs.
What if I have multiple credit packs?
We use the credits from the pack that expires soonest first, so nothing goes to waste.
Can I get a refund on a credit pack?
Credit packs are non-refundable once purchased.
Do credit packs renew automatically?
No. Each pack is a one-time purchase. If you want to top up automatically, enable auto-purchase (see above).
Can I buy credit packs if I'm on the Free plan?
No. Credit packs are only available on paid All-in-one Outreach plans (Starter, Growth, or Scale). To buy credit packs, you'll need to upgrade to a paid plan first.
Can I buy credit packs while my subscription is paused?
No. During a pause, your account is on the Free plan, and credit packs aren't available on Free. If you need credits before the pause ends, contact our support team to resume your plan early, and then buy a credit pack.
I'm on a Data Platform plan: can I buy credit packs?
No. Data Platform plans top up differently, see Running out of credits on a Data Platform plan.
