How often are Signals updated?
Hunter continuously scans for new results matching your active Signals. You'll receive an email notification every 48 hours if at least one new result has been found in this timeframe. If nothing new is detected, no email is sent.

Setting up and running Signals is free. Credits are only used in two cases:
Revealing an email address in a Company Signal result (1 credit per reveal)
Running a Bulk Domain Search from your Signals results (credits are consumed based on the number of emails returned)

Can I exclude companies I'm not interested in?
Yes. On any Signal result, click the thumbs down icon next to a company to dismiss it.
đĄ Dismissed companies are moved out of your active results and won't appear again for that Signal.
Note: that you can't bulk-dismiss or set permanent exclusion rules by company name or domain, dismissals are manual, one company at a time.
By clicking the thumbs up instead, these companies will be marked in green, making them easier to identify among the others.

Each user on an all-in-one outreach plan, including Free plan users, can have up to 50 Signals at a time, including both active and paused Signals. If youâve reached the limit, youâll need to delete an existing Signal before creating a new one.

Why isn't my Signal returning any results?
A few possible reasons:
Your filters are too narrow. Try broadening the industry, location, or company size range to let more results through.
The Signal is paused. Check the Signals page, paused Signals don't scan for new results.
It's early. A freshly created Signal may take a short time before new results start appearing, especially if you've set a tight publication date range.

Can I track grant funding or public sector organizations?
Not directly. Signals doesn't have a "grant funding" type or a public sector filter. The closest workaround is to use a Fundings and acquisitions Signal and narrow it down with the Industry (e.g. Education) and Headquarters location filters to get as close to your target audience as possible. You'll then want to manually review results to identify public sector matches.

Signals are currently personal. They're tied to your individual Hunter account and can't be shared with or transferred to teammates. Each team member would need to create their own Signal with the same criteria.

Signals is a UI-only feature and is not currently available via the Hunter API or on a Data platform plan.
