How to delete or edit the unsubscribe link and how to manage your unsubscriptions

What are unsubscriptions?

All the leads that have unsubscribed from an email campaign, have bounced, or domains that have been manually unsubscribed will be directly added to the Unsubscription list.

When a recipient unsubscribes from a campaign, their preference is recorded at the team level. This ensures that their preference applies to all email accounts connected to Campaigns that are used for sending emails in your team.

Including an unsubscribe link is a good practice for cold outreach, as it enables recipients to easily opt out of future emails if they choose to. Additionally, various privacy regulations, such as GDPR, require including an unsubscribe option for recipients.

Tracking your unsubscribe rate in the email campaign's statistics helps you to improve your campaigns and avoid spam reports.

The Unsubscriptions section: an overview

The Unsubscriptions section is divided into All, Unsubscribed, Bounced and Domains.

  • All: Includes all of the types of unsubscription without distinctions.

  • Unsubscribed: includes emails that have unsubscribed from your campaign or that have been manually added.

  • Bounced: includes emails that couldn't be delivered and bounced back.

  • Domains: Includes manually added domains, to avoid reaching out again to entire companies.

By design, all of the recipients in your Unsubscriptions list, can't be contacted again even if you add them to a campaign by mistake. The system will ignore them.

Bounces are added to the list to help limit the risk of hurting your email reputation and as a result, limiting the risk of getting your email account blocked by your email service provider.

Manage your unsubscriptions

In the All section, you have an overview of all your unsubscriptions displayed by type, creation date, and the leads list they are coming from, referred to as Source.

You have the option to search for a specific lead in the Search box on the right top-hand side and manually add or remove manually added leads from the list.

Manually add a lead or domain to the Unsubscriptions list

It is possible to manually add new emails or domains to unsubscribe from your campaigns.

To do so, click on + New, inside the Unsubscriptions section. A new window pops up in which you can add all the emails or domains you want to unsubscribe from your campaigns. Simply add one email or domain per line and click on Add.


Remove manually added leads or domains from your Unsubscriptions list

Manually added unsubscriptions can also be removed from your own Unsubscriptions list, by clicking on the small bin icon on the right-hand side.

πŸ‘‰ This is not the case for actual unsubscriptions or bounces, genuine unsubscriptions or hard bounces are permanent and cannot be deleted. As a result, you will not see the bin icon next to their entry.

πŸ’‘ Recipients that have been removed from your unsubscriptions will not automatically be added to your leads again.


Download a list with your unsubscriptions

It is possible to download a list of all your unsubscriptions as a CSV file.

Click on Download as CSV on the top right-hand side, inside your Unsubscriptions section.

This will start a download of a CSV file, which includes all the emails available in your Unubscriptions list.
