What does the status “Successful” mean

what does the successful status mean and when should you use it?

When running an email sequence, each recipient has a status that reflects where they are in the outreach process. Successful is a special status, unlike others, it's not triggered automatically. It's manually applied by you to mark a recipient as a win.

When to use "Successful"

Use this status for any recipient you consider a positive outcome. What counts as "successful" depends on your goal. It could be:

  • A positive reply (e.g. they're interested)

  • A conversion (e.g. they booked a call, signed up, or made a purchase)

  • Engagement via another channel (e.g. they reached out directly by phone or LinkedIn)

This is especially useful for distinguishing between recipients who replied with "not interested" and those who gave a genuinely positive response.

How to mark a recipient as "Successful"

You can mark a recipient as "Successful" in two ways:

From the Inbox

If a lead has replied to one of your emails, in the Inbox, hover over the email and click the thumbs-up icon (Mark as successful).

From the Engagement tab

If they've opened or clicked your email, in the Engagement tab, use the same thumbs-up action from there, hover over the email and click the thumbs-up icon.

⚠️ Marking a recipient as Successful will cancel any remaining follow-up steps in the sequence for that lead.

Tracking your "Successful" recipients

You can see how many recipients you've marked as Successful in two places:

  • Statistics tab within any individual sequence

  • Reporting section (premium plan) for an overview across all sequences (available on premium plans)
