Clay is a platform that helps you automate parts of your lead generation and enrichment process. This article shows you how to connect your Hunter account to Clay and use Hunter's data services inside Clay tables to find and verify emails.
How to connect Hunter to Clay
There are two ways you can access Hunter’s data services inside Clay:
Option 1: Connect your Hunter account to Clay
To spend your Hunter credits inside Clay, you can create a new connection directly in your Clay account.
Navigate to your Clay account settings and click "Connections".
Click "Add connection" and choose Hunter from the list of available connections.
Enter a name for the connection and paste your Hunter API key.
Once you configure the connection and set it as default, you can spend your Hunter credits when running enrichment tasks in Clay tables.
Option 2: How to use Hunter inside Clay
Open a Clay table and click "Add enrichment".
Choose one of Hunter’s data services from the list.
You will have three options:
"Find emails by company": which uses the Domain Search,
"Find work email": which is the Email Finder,
"Validate email": this leverages the Email Verifier.
After you add an enrichment column, you can run the enrichment task, and Hunter’s data will populate your table.
To sum things up:
Connect your Hunter account to Clay once, using your Hunter API key.
Then use Domain Search, Email Finder, or the Email Verifier as enrichment steps in any Clay table.
