Add or edit your billing details and payment card

How to update the billing address, VAT number, and payment card on your Hunter subscription: everything you can edit from the Billing & subscription page.

Your billing details and payment card are the two pieces of information Hunter uses to bill you and generate your invoices. You can update either of them at any time from your Billing & subscription page.

Only the team owner can edit billing information. Team members will see the page but can't make changes.

What can I edit?

You can update:

  • Company name: appears on every invoice

  • Billing address: your company or personal address used for invoicing

  • Country: determines your billing currency (USD, EUR, or GBP)

  • VAT number / tax ID: optional; appears on your invoices when set

  • Payment card: the credit or debit card we charge for renewals and credit pack purchases

Your changes apply to all future invoices immediately. Past invoices stay as-is: they reflect the details you had at the time of purchase.

Need a past invoice corrected? If you spot an error on an invoice you've already received, contact our support team and we'll reissue it with the correct details.

Your new card replaces the previous one and will be used for the next renewal and any future credit pack purchases. If a renewal payment recently failed, the new card is also retried automatically.

Hunter never stores your card details: we use Stripe as our secure payment processor. Card information is tokenized and held by Stripe, not by Hunter.

VAT number / tax ID: when to add one

Hunter is registered in the United States, so we don't charge VAT, GST, or sales tax by default. You can still add a VAT number (or local equivalent) to your billing details if you need it to appear on your invoices β€” for example:

  • For accounting reconciliation

  • For compliance requirements in your country

  • For your finance team to process the invoice

Once added, your VAT number will appear on all future invoices. To add it to a past invoice, contact our support team.

Changing your billing country

If you move countries or your business is now invoicing from a different location, you can change the country in your billing details. Keep in mind:

  • Your billing currency stays the same (USD, EUR, or GBP): currency is set at first purchase and doesn't change with the address.

  • If you need to change currency too, contact our support team: we'll handle it manually.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a different card for different charges (e.g., one for the subscription, another for credit packs)?

No: each subscription uses one card for everything (renewals, credit packs, add-ons). You can change the card at any time.

Does updating my card retry a failed payment?

Yes. If your last payment failed, adding a new card automatically triggers a retry only if the payment is linked to a monthly or yearly renewal.

Can I add a backup card in case the main one fails?

Not at the moment. Hunter uses one card per subscription.
