Find companies similar to a target company in Discover

Find companies similar to your ideal customer in Hunter Discover and expand your prospecting without using filters.

Updated today

The Companies similar to filter in Hunter Discover helps you find companies that match a specific business you already know.

This is useful when you’ve identified an ideal customer (ICP match) and want to quickly discover similar companies without building complex filters.

How it works

Hunter suggests similar companies based on how closely they match your selected company, using signals such as:

  • Industry

  • Company description

  • Keywords

This allows you to expand your prospecting from one strong example instead of starting from scratch.

💡 This feature is available on all paid plans. See Hunter plans.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Open Discover

Go to Discover from your Hunter dashboard.

  2. Use the “Companies similar to” filter

Start typing the name of the company you want to base your search on.

Discover filters panel showing Companies similar to input field

Find emails from these companies

Once you’ve identified relevant companies, you can extract contact details directly from your results.

From Discover, you can:

  • View available email addresses linked to each single company and reveal them.

  • Reval emails in bulk by applying additional People target filters.

Common questions or issues
