Need a break from Hunter but don't want to cancel? You can pause your monthly All in one outreach subscription for 1, 2, or 3 months: your subscription auto-resumes at the end of the pause period, and you get 30% off your first payment when it does.
✅ Available on: Monthly All-in-one Outreach plans (Starter, Growth, Scale)
❌ Not available on: Yearly plans, Data Platform plans, Enterprise plans, Free plan
Heads up about timing: Pausing doesn't stop billing immediately.
It takes effect at the end of your current billing period: so you'll still be charged for the current period as normal. If you've just been charged for a renewal, that charge is final and won't be refunded.
How pause works
The pause starts at the end of your current billing period: you keep using your paid plan until then.
During the pause, your account switches to the Free plan. You won't be charged and you'll only have access to Free plan features.
At the end of the pause, your paid plan resumes automatically: with a 30% discount applied to the first payment.
You'll get an email reminder one week before the auto-resume, with the option to cancel if you've changed your mind.
Only the subscription owner can pause a subscription.
How to pause your subscription
Go to Account → Billing & subscription
Open the Details tab
At the top of your plan card, click Pause plan
Choose how long you want to pause: 1, 2, or 3 months
Review what happens at pause and at auto-resume
Click Confirm to schedule the pause
That's it: your pause is scheduled to start at the end of your current billing period.
What about my credits, sequences, and data?
When the pause starts and your account switches to Free:
Your account, sequences, and leads stay intact: nothing is deleted.
You keep Free plan access: 50 daily credits shared across all Hunter tools.
Your sequences will pause sending: any active sequences are paused for the duration. You can resume them when your paid plan auto-resumes.
Your team members keep access at the Free plan level.
When the pause ends, your paid plan comes back exactly as it was — same allowance, same features, same team.
Cancelling or changing a pause
You have three options depending on where you are in the pause cycle.
Option 1: Cancel a scheduled pause (before it starts)
If you've scheduled a pause but it hasn't started yet, you can cancel it and keep your subscription running normally.
Go to Account → Billing & subscription → Details tab
At the top of your plan card, click Resume plan
Confirm
Your pause is cancelled and your subscription continues as usual.
Option 2: Cancel the subscription during a pause
If you've decided you don't want Hunter back, you can cancel the subscription entirely during the pause period.
Go to Account → Billing & subscription → Details tab
At the top of your plan card, click Cancel plan
Confirm
You'll stay on the Free plan and won't be charged when the pause was set to end. You can resubscribe any time in the future.
Option 3: End the pause early and resume now
If you want to start using your paid plan again before the pause ends, go to the Billing & subscription section and select "Cancel Pause".
After that you'll be able to purchase a new subscription from the Subscriptions page.
If you remove the pause early, the 30% discount won't apply.
Frequently asked questions
Can I pause a yearly plan?
No. Pause is only available on monthly All-in-one Outreach plans. If you're on a yearly plan and need a break, contact our support team and we'll see what we can do.
Can I pause for more than 3 months?
The maximum pause is 3 months. If you need a longer break, feel free to contact our support team and we'll be happy to help.
Will I lose my unused credits when the pause starts?
Yes, when your paid plan ends for the pause, any unused monthly credits are not carried over. You'll get the Free plan's daily credit allowance during the pause, and your new monthly allowance kicks in when the paid plan auto-resumes.
Can I buy credit packs while my subscription is paused?
No. During a pause, your account is on the Free plan, and credit packs are only available on paid All-in-one Outreach plans.
Will my add-ons (extra email account slots, domains, Inbox Protection) be paused too?
No. Add-ons listed in the Additional subscriptions section are billed separately and continue normally during your plan pause. If you want to pause or cancel an add-on, do it individually from that section.
Will the 30% discount apply to all future renewals?
No, it's a one-time discount on the first payment after the pause ends. Renewals after that go back to your regular plan price.
